Released in April 2013, Oblivion is a sci-fi action-adventure film that was directed and produced by Joseph Krosinki and Peter Chernin.
This post-apocalyptic movie had Tom Cruise as its main cast alongside Olga Kurylenko, Morgan Freeman, Andrea Riseborough, and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau in supporting roles.
The movie skips to 2077 when humanity had to reside on Titan after the earth was destroyed in a war with the scavengers.

The plot of the movie
The plot reveals a story where Jack Harper and Victoria Olsen are one of the few people left on the earth in 2077 after the earth and its moon were destroyed in a war with the scavengers.
Even though the human race won the war, the use of nuclear weapons had put a radical amount of negative impact on the earth which ultimately led the planet to become uninhabitable.
Jack has Vika as his communication officer and teammate who collaboratively hunt the remaining scavengers and keep a watch on the hydro rigs.
Sally is the mission commander who is in a space station and soon they will head for Titan, a moon of Saturn.
Jack then rescues five humans from the crash site who were in hibernation chambers and had been asleep since the year 2017.
One of them included a woman whom Jack often sees in his dreams and he then protects and carries her to his base. The woman’s name turns out to be Julia Rosakova.
Jack and Julia are then captured by the scavengers whilst they were at the crash site retrieving Odessey’s flight recorder.
It was then revealed by Malcolm Beech, the leader of the scavengers, that scavengers were actually human being beings who wore dark robes to protect themselves from the drones.
Jack and Julia were then freed and taken to the radiation zone to discover the truth. Jack comes to know that Julia is his wife and he then starts remembering everything including the marriage proposal at the Empire State building.
Vika’s drone kills Sally and Jack and Julia destroys the drones that chase them and coincidentally land in the radiation zone.
Technician number 52 arrives to fix the disabled drones and meanwhile, Julia gets shot in the fight between Jack and the technician. Jack rushes to the base for treating Julia’s wounds and then takes her to the lakeside cabin where she recovers.
After they return to the scavenger’s hidden base, Beech reveals that the Tet is actually an artificial intelligence alien whose ultimate motive is to extract earth’s natural resources and he was the one who invaded earth and destroyed humanity.
Next, Jack and Beech collectively destroy Tet and his drones and when Julia wakes up, she is already impressed by the change of plans.
Three years later, Julia has given birth to Jack Tech 49’s daughter and has kept a painting in a frame that she used to admire during her scavenger hideout moments.
